I tailor my approach to each patient’s particular situation and needs. I have a variety of tools to approach worrisome situations. 

Upon request, I use hypnosis to understand what might be contributing to anxiety.  Hypnosis is also helpful for relaxation, and self-hypnosis techniques can be taught to my patient for their use when they judge it to be appropriate.

Meditation is another tool I can teach my patients if they desire it.

Talk therapy is very useful in addressing underlying issues which may be causing the anxiety. Once these issues are understood, then we discuss strategies to employ before anxiety becomes even less manageable.
